耶鲁大学医学院博后招聘(RNA方向)

The Department of Immunobiology at Yale University School of Medicine is recruiting one postdoctoral fellow to join Dr. Grace Chen’s group. The Chen Laboratory is interested in understanding the molecular basis for eukaryotic and viral circular RNA function, and establishing a cellular atlas for circular RNAs. Specifically, we aim to understand how different layers of regulation including RNA modifications and cellular localization affect RNA function to enable new insights into both normal function and how dysregulation leads to disease. The Chen Laboratory applies molecular, cellular, and chemical biology techniques coupled with next-generation sequencing to address these questions. We aim to generate novel therapies based on our new insight about circular RNA function and regulation. For more information, visit www.yegracechen.com.

Dr. Grace Chen is an incoming Assistant Professor and will join the department in January 2019. Dr. Chen received her BS from the University of California, Berkeley in Chemical Biology. She obtained her PhD from Harvard University in Chemical Biology, where she discovered and characterized RNA modifications in Dr. David Liu’s lab. Dr. Chen completed her postdoctoral training at Stanford University in the group of Dr. Howard Chang, where she investigated circular RNA immunity.

The Chen Laboratory is building a dynamic team of collaborative scientists motivated to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying circular RNA function and regulation. The laboratory is recruiting one postdoctoral fellow with a strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry, chemical biology, or genomics. Candidates should have obtained a PhD degree within the last year. Successful applicants will possess familiarity with the following:

FACS sorting and analysis of immune cells

Virus and host interactions

Collection and culture of primary cells

Next-generation sequencing approaches

Genome editing using CRISPR-Cas9 technologies

RNA biology and techniques

The position is located in New Haven, Connecticut. Interested applicants should send a cover letter, CV, and contact information for three references to the PI Dr. Grace Chen at ye.grace.chen@yale.edu.
